Privacy Policy / Health and safety rules@ The Studio

Welcome to The Studio! Your safety is our top priority. By entering and participating in any activities, you agree to follow all health and safety rules and acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. The Studio is committed to providing a safe and creative environment, but we cannot be held responsible for any injury, accident, or harm that may occur. Please read and follow the rules below.

General Safety Guidelines

  1. Personal Responsibility:
By entering The Studio, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and well-being. You must take care when using equipment, tools, and materials.

  2. Proper Supervision:
If you're new to the studio or working with unfamiliar materials or equipment, always ask for guidance from an instructor or studio manager. Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

  3. Appropriate Clothing:
Wear proper attire, including closed-toe shoes and clothing that will protect you from potential hazards (e.g., splatters, sharp tools). Avoid loose clothing and accessories that could get caught in equipment.

  4. Clean Workspace:
Always clean up your area after each session to reduce the risk of accidents. Dispose of waste materials safely in designated bins.

  5. No Food or Drink Near Equipment:
For your safety, avoid eating or drinking near any tools or art materials. Spilled liquids can cause slip hazards, and food debris may attract pests.

  6. Food and Drink Responsibility:
If you bring food or drinks into The Studio, you are fully responsible for them. Ensure that food and drinks are consumed in designated areas and that all waste is properly disposed of. The Studio is not responsible for any accidents or injuries resulting from food or drink consumption.

  7. Parking:
If you park your car on the premises, you do so at your own risk. The Studio is not responsible for any damage, theft, or incidents involving your vehicle while parked on the property.

Health and Hygiene Rules

  1. Injury Reporting:
If you injure yourself in any way, no matter how minor, immediately report it to a staff member. First aid kits are available, and we can assist with medical treatment if needed. In case of serious injury, emergency services will be contacted immediately.

  2. Allergic Reactions:
If you have any known allergies (e.g., to paints, solvents, or certain materials), please inform a staff member before starting your session. We may recommend alternative materials or provide accommodations to minimise risk.

  3. Clean Hands:
Always wash your hands after handling art materials and before eating. Some art supplies contain chemicals that can be harmful if ingested or come in contact with food.

  4. Air Quality:
When working with materials such as paints, solvents, or sprays, ensure proper ventilation in the studio. The studio is equipped with ventilation systems for your safety.

Studio Equipment and Tool Use

  1. Use Tools Safely:
Only use equipment or tools for their intended purpose. If you're unsure how to operate any equipment, ask for assistance or training.

  2. Power Equipment:
Only authorised staff are permitted to operate heavy machinery or power tools. If you are authorised, always follow manufacturer instructions and guidelines when using any equipment.

  3. Storage of Materials:
Materials should be stored in their designated areas. Do not block exits, fire extinguishers, or emergency equipment.

  4. Flammable Materials:
Flammable materials should be handled carefully and stored in appropriate containers. Do not store any flammable substances near open flames or heat sources.

In Case of Emergency

  1. Emergency Exits:
Familiarise yourself with the emergency exits, fire escape routes, and location of emergency supplies (such as first aid kits and fire extinguishers).

  2. Fire Safety:
In the event of a fire, evacuate the building immediately using the nearest exit. Do not attempt to use equipment or tools if it poses a fire hazard.

  3. Medical Emergencies:
If you or another person becomes injured or unwell, notify staff immediately. We are trained to provide first aid and will call emergency services if necessary.
